Juan Avila

Juan Avila has extensive experience in cost engineering within the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), currently serving as the SEA05C6 Division Director and Cost Engineering Manager for Submarines since April 2017. Previously held the role of SEA05C7 Division Director for Unmanned & Small Combatants and was a cost team lead at the Naval Center for Cost Analysis for Navy Surface Combatant Component Cost Positions from February 2015 to April 2017. Earlier in his career, Juan worked as a SEA05C2 Cost Team Lead and as a Cost Analyst supporting various submarine programs, having graduated from the Naval Acquisition Intern Program in October 2008. Juan Avila holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland, earned from 2001 to 2005.
