Michael Pieri

Columbia Class Common Missile Compartment (cmc) Project Officer at Naval Sea Systems Command

Michael Pieri has a strong background in mechanical engineering and has worked primarily in the naval industry. Michael started their career as a Junior Mechanical Engineer at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division, U.S. Navy in 2007 and eventually became a Senior Mechanical Engineer, a role they held from 2011 to 2020. During their time at the Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia Division from 2017 to 2020, they served as the Submarine Antenna Program Manager and the Submarine Deployed Antenna Systems Technical Specialist. Currently, they work as the COLUMBIA Submarine Program Major Area Integration Team Lead at the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) - PMS 397, starting in 2020.

Michael Pieri attended Penn State University from 2003 to 2007, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering.
