Jeffrey Carswell has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Starting in 1989, they served as a Junior Officer in the US Navy, specializing in chemical and radiological assistance and submarines. In 1995, they transitioned to the private sector as a Lead Engineer for Mitsubishi Polycrystalline Silicon America Corp, managing the procurement, installation, and operation of silicon wafer manufacturing equipment. From 2000 to 2012, Carswell worked at Savannah River Nuclear Solutions, where they assumed the role of Lead Engineer for the H-Canyon Facility and later became a Senior Program Manager, overseeing national and homeland security programs and non-proliferation efforts. In 2009, they joined the US Department of Energy as a Senior Program Manager before returning to Savannah River Nuclear Solutions as a Principle Technical Advisor and Safety Basis Regulating Authority. Carswell then served in various roles in the US Navy Reserve from 2003 to 2017, including Chief of Staff and Officer in Charge of different submarine units. In 2018, they worked at Fluor Idaho as the Vice President and Deputy Manager, responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Idaho Cleanup Project. In 2022, Carswell joined the Idaho Environmental Coalition as a Senior Technical Advisor before assuming their current role as Program Manager for Navarro Research and Engineering, supporting the Carlsbad Field Office at the WIPP DOE nuclear repository. Overall, Carswell has gained extensive experience in program management, technical advising, operations oversight, and leadership in both government and private sectors.
