Jan Broe Pedersen is a seasoned professional in air traffic control and aviation management, with a career spanning over three decades. Jan has held various roles at Naviair since August 2001, including Head of NITOS Tower System Experts Group, Air Traffic Controller, and Senior ATM System Expert. Jan began the career as an Air Traffic Controller at the Civil Aviation Administration in Denmark from January 1990 to August 2001. Jan's educational background includes Air Traffic Controller training from CAA Denmark ATC Academy (1990-1992) and studies at Støvring Gymnasium (1986-1989) and Karensmindeskolen (1976-1986).

Naviair

Provision of air navigation services is Naviair’s first and foremost priority, i.e. to provide its services in an efficient and expeditious way, guiding aircraft safely through Danish airspace with minimum delays. Naviair offers training of all operative staff at its own college - of which that of Air Traffic Controllers constitutes the primary part - and operates and maintains the advanced technical systems and air navigation aids. The initial training takes place at Entry Point North, the joint Scandinavian Academy i Malmö. Naviair has a staff of approximately 640 persons most of which are Air Traffic Controllers and technical staff, and runs a business of approximately DKK 900m a year.
