Director ATM Projects & Engineering at Naviair

Mikael Ericsson has extensive work experience in various roles and companies. Mikael currently serves as the COOPANS Programme Director at COOPANS Alliance since September 2021. Prior to this position, they held the role of Director ATM Projects & Engineering at Naviair, where they also worked as a Program Manager for Systems Delivery. Mikael has been involved with COOPANS since 2008 and played an active role in its strategic development. Mikael began their career at SattControl in 1984, working as a Project Manager for 12 years before joining ABB Automation as a Service Manager in 1996.

Mikael Ericsson attended IHM Business School from 1999 to 2000. During that time, they obtained a diploma in Project Management. In addition to their formal education, they have also achieved certifications such as Certified SAFe® 5 Program Consultant from Scaled Agile, Inc. in September 2020, and Certified SAFe® 4 Agilist from the same institution in February 2019.

Naviair

Provision of air navigation services is Naviair’s first and foremost priority, i.e. to provide its services in an efficient and expeditious way, guiding aircraft safely through Danish airspace with minimum delays. Naviair offers training of all operative staff at its own college - of which that of Air Traffic Controllers constitutes the primary part - and operates and maintains the advanced technical systems and air navigation aids. The initial training takes place at Entry Point North, the joint Scandinavian Academy i Malmö. Naviair has a staff of approximately 640 persons most of which are Air Traffic Controllers and technical staff, and runs a business of approximately DKK 900m a year.
