David Giles

David Giles has extensive work experience in the energy sector, particularly in strategic planning, public policy, business development, government affairs, and legal counsel. David is currently serving as the President and Chief Operating Officer at Navigator CO2 Ventures since November 2021. Prior to that, they held various leadership positions at Valero Energy Corporation, including Vice President of Strategic Planning and Public Policy, Vice President of Business Development, Executive Director of International and Midstream Government Affairs, Director of Business Development, and Senior Advisory Counsel. Before joining Valero Energy Corporation, they worked as a Corporate Counsel at Clear Channel Communications and as an Associate at Thompson & Knight LLP and Cox Smith Matthews.

David Giles obtained their Juris Doctor (JD) degree in Law from The University of Texas School of Law, where they attended from 1994 to 1997. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Communications/Economics at the University of Arkansas, attending from 1990 to 1994.
