LeeAnn Capps has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. LeeAnn started their career as a Reporter/Photographer for The Southern Star, where they covered Dale County and Fort Novosel. LeeAnn then moved on to work as a Community Relations Coordinator for the Coffee County School System, where they established and edited a monthly countywide newspaper. Following this, LeeAnn worked as a Reporter for The Enterprise Ledger, taking on various assignments and working as part of a dedicated team. LeeAnn later joined The Dothan Eagle as a Reporter and was responsible for complete coverage of Dale County. Currently, LeeAnn holds the position of Director of Communications and Corporate Recruiter at Navigator Development Group, Inc., where they handle media/public relations, press releases, marketing, technical editing, website content writing, and recruiting.
LeeAnn Capps completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism from Troy University between 1980 and 1982. Prior to that, they attended the University of North Alabama from 1979 to 1980, where they studied Commercial Music. Recently, they pursued a Master of Arts in Journalism at The University of Alabama from 2020 to 2022.
