Head Of Operational Integrity at Navigator Gas

Meinte van der Brug has a diverse work experience across various maritime companies. Their most recent position was as Head of Vessel Operations at Navigator Gas since November 2022. Prior to that, they worked as the Fleet Manager at BW Epic Kosan Maritime for about a year and a half, overseeing a fleet of 25 gas tankers. Meinte also held positions at J. Lauritzen A/S, where they served as both Fleet Manager and Vessel Manager, responsible for managing the fleet's performance and technical management. Before that, Meinte worked at Maersk Drilling as a Naval Architect, focusing on developing Arctic drilling solutions, and as an Operations Engineer. Meinte began their career as a Well Site Engineer at Maersk Oil and later joined Maersk Drilling as a trainee. Meinte's early work experience includes being a Graduate at GustoMSC, where their thesis on Arctic exploration Drillship design was nominated for two awards, and working as an Intern Naval Architect at Saab Kockums AB. Additionally, they served as the Team Manager for the Delta Lloyd Solar Boat Team, leading the design and development of a solar-powered speed boat that won the Frisian Solar Challenge in 2008.

Meinte van der Brug attended the Delft University of Technology from 2005 to 2012, where they earned a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering. In 2009, they also briefly studied Naval Architecture at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). Additionally, in 2009, Meinte van der Brug attended The University Centre in Svalbard for an unspecified period, where they may have pursued further studies. Later, in 2015 and 2016, they attended the DTU - Technical University of Denmark, specifically the DTU Business School, and obtained a Certificate in Entrepreneurial Leadership (CEL™).
