Earl Jay Caoile has a diverse work experience, beginning in 2006 as a Material Handler at FedEx Express. In 2009, they joined the US Army as an Analyst, where they served as a Squad Leader and Shift Manager from 2012 to 2013. In 2013, they worked as a Database Developer for the State of Hawaii's Transformation Internship Program, where they collaborated with fellow graduate students to create a full stack web application. From 2016 to 2018, they worked as a Student Assistant at Hawaii Pacific University's Office of International Students and Scholars, where they provided assistance and processed paperwork for international students. During this time, they also used Canva for graphic design used on social media platforms and developed and maintained a user-friendly version of HPU OISS’s website for international students. In 2018, they worked as a Software Developer at WA Vets Will Clinic, where they created a web application using ASP.NET Core 2.2 and Razor Pages deployed on Azure, contributed to front end implementation using HTML, CSS (SCSS), and JavaScript (jQuery), wrote synchronous and asynchronous methods that performed CRUD operations on databases using C# and Microsoft Entity Framework, and collaborated with fellow developers and handled version control through GitHub. In 2020, they began working as a Software Engineer at NavigatorCRE, where they maintained a legacy application that provides analytics for commercial real estate clients running on .NET 4.x and JavaScript + jQuery.

Earl Jay has a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Hawaii Pacific University, a Master's Degree in Information Systems from Hawaii Pacific University, a Master's Degree in Teaching English to Speakers of other Languages from Hawaii Pacific University, and a Graduate Exchange Program from Nagoya University of Foreign Studies in TESOL and from Sungkyunkwan University in Electrical and Computer Engineering.
