William “Billy” Wheeler

William “Billy” Wheeler, CFE, currently serves as a Senior Investigator for Global Security Investigations at Navy Federal Credit Union, where responsibilities include directing financial crimes investigations and ensuring employee integrity. Prior experience includes serving as the Assistant Vice President Corporate Security Investigator at Regions Bank, overseeing security for over 30 locations, and as a Security Auditor at Westgate Resorts, focusing on fraud investigations. Wheeler has a background in law enforcement, having worked as a Special Deputy Marshal with the U.S. Marshals Service and as an Investigator with the State of Florida's Criminal Investigations Division, where expertise in financial crimes and fraud was developed. Additional experience includes serving as a Detective in the Economic Crimes Unit with Santa Rosa County Sheriff, focusing on complex felony offenses and economic crime investigations. Wheeler began a career in law enforcement as a Police Officer with the Pensacola Police Department. Wheeler holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from the University of West Florida.
