Director at Navy Mutual

As Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Navy and Marine Group for Perspecta, Vice Admiral Branch leads more than 4,000 professionals providing mission critical information technology services under the Next Generation Enterprise Network (NGEN) contract. Prior to assuming his current role, he was Vice President, Navy and Marine Corps, for DXC Technology’s U.S. Public Sector.

Vice Admiral Branch joined the public sector IT industry following more than 37 years of service in the U.S. Navy, most recently after serving three years as the Deputy Chief of Naval Operations for Information Warfare and the Director of Naval Intelligence. A naval aviator, his operational assignments included Light Attack Squadrons 15 and 37, USS Forrestal, and Strike Fighter Squadron 37. He served as executive and commanding officer of Strike Fighter Squadron 15, executive officer in USS John C. Stennis, commanding officer in USS Coronado and USS Nimitz, and commander of Carrier Strike Group 1 Carl Vinson Strike Group where he led initial Navy and Marine Corps relief efforts for the 2010 Haiti earthquake.

Vice Admiral Branch also served as an instructor in the A7 and F18 Fleet Replacement Squadrons and the Joint Staff in Washington, D.C. He completed Navy Nuclear Power Training, served as executive assistant to the Commander U.S. Pacific Fleet, director of Operations and Plans (N31) on the Chief of Naval Operations staff in the Pentagon and commander of Naval Air Force Atlantic where he was responsible for the staffing, training and equipping of all east coast aircraft carriers and aviation units.

He is also on the board of directors of the Tailhook Educational Foundation and the National Capital Chapter of the U.S. Navy League, and was recently selected to serve on the board of trustees for the Naval Aviation Museum Foundation in Pensacola, FL.

His awards include the Distinguished Service Medal, Legion of Merit, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Strike Flight Air Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal with Combat “V,” Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal and various unit and campaign awards.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree from the U.S. Naval Academy; a master’s degree in international relations from the Naval War College; executive education at UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School and the Harvard Kennedy School.
