Omar Askari has an extensive work experience, starting with their role as a Summer Analyst at J.P. Morgan in 2001. Omar then joined Morgan Stanley in 2002 as an Analyst and worked there until 2004. In 2006, Askari joined CBRE, where they served as the Hedge Fund Manager for Iceberg Alternative Real Estate until 2013. Omar also held the position of Director at CBRE from 2013 to 2016. In 2017, Askari joined Uber as the Head of Business in Pakistan and remained in that role until 2020. In 2020, they moved to Revolut and took on the role of Global Head of Business Development until 2021. Currently, Askari holds the position of Chief Business Officer at NayaPay, starting in October 2022.
Omar Askari attended the Karachi Grammar School from 1991 to 1996. After completing their secondary education, they enrolled at Westminster School in London from 1997 to 1999. Following their time at Westminster School, Omar pursued higher education at Brown University, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Business Economics from 1999 to 2003. Omar's academic journey continued at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) from 2005 to 2006, where they pursued a Master's degree in Real Estate Finance and Economics.
