Michael Amalfitano

Board Member at National Business Aviation Association

Michael Amalfitano is president and CEO of Embraer Executive Jets, where he oversees global operations for the aircraft manufacturer’s business jet division.

He brings to AMAC over 35 years of industry experience in executive leadership, global originations, aircraft valuation, asset management, and lease/finance structural analysis for the business aviation industry.

Prior to joining Embraer, Amalfitano was executive vice president, senior managing director at Stonebriar Commercial Finance. He previously served as managing director and executive head of Banc of America Leasing – Global Corporate Aircraft Finance, a position he held for over 22 years with Bank of America Merrill Lynch, and in various sales management positions with the Commercial Equipment Financing Department of GE Capital.

Amalfitano holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and a master’s in financial management from Fairfield University. He is an active member of the Equipment Leasing and Finance Association, Helicopter Association International and European Business Aviation Association. He has also served on the Finance Committee and as past chairman of the Associate Members Advisory Council for the National Aircraft Resale Association, and has served two consecutive terms as president on the Board of Directors of the National Aircraft Finance Association. He has written numerous articles for aviation industry publications and is an active speaker or panelist at business aviation seminars and finance conferences throughout the industry.
