NBCUniversal is one of the world's leading media and entertainment companies. They began separately as NBC and Universal, both in the new world of motion picture, production, and distribution. In 2004, they merged to become a new media conglomerate.

Today, they own and operate over 20 different businesses across 30 countries. Their services include development, production, marketing of entertainment, news and information. Within their services, they own and operate various portfolios of news and entertainment television networks, a premier motion picture company, television production operations, television stations group, theme parks, and streaming services. They are a wholly owned subsidiary of Comcast.

Notable brands within their Film portfolio are Universal Pictures, DreamWorks, and Focus Features. Their News portfolio includes NBC News, MSNBC, and CNBC. Parks and Resorts consists of Universal Studios Hollywood, Universal Orlando Resort, Universal Studios Japan, Universal Studios Singapore, and Universal Beijing Resort. TV & Streaming is a larger portfolio that consists of NBC, NBC Sports, Telemundo, peacock, Oxygen True Crime, Universal Kids, USA, SyFy, GolfNow, hayu, bravo, E, and Fandango. Lastly, the TV studios group is recognized by their Universal Television, UCP, Universal Television Alternative, and Universal International Studios brands.
