Valentina Mele is currently a Lab Manager at NBE-Therapeutics AG, a role they have held since 2022. Prior to this, they were a Research Associate in Tumor Heterogeneity Metastasis and Resistance Group at University Hospital Basel from 2020-2022. Her research focused on the isolation, expansion and characterization of primary fibroblasts from sclerodermic skin to evaluate the oxidative stress and of primary cells from aortic resection to study apoptotic phenomena and oxidative stress.
Valentina Mele has an extensive educational background. Valentina obtained a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Clinical and Pathological Morphology from the University of Naples "Federico II" in 2009, following an internship in Oncology Surgery Group at the University Hospital Basel. Valentina also earned a Master's degree in Biology from the same university in 2006 and a Bachelor's degree in General and Applied Biology from the University of Naples "Federico II" in 2004.
