NBIS – National Bioinformatics Infrastructure Sweden
Guilherme Dias is a Bioinformatics Data Scientist at the National Bioinformatics Infrastructure Sweden since March 2023. Previously, Guilherme worked as a Data Analyst in the Brazilian Ministry of Health, focusing on the analysis and visualization of surveillance data related to sexually transmitted infections, including syphilis and HIV/AIDS. Prior experience includes serving as a Postdoctoral Researcher at The University of Georgia, where research centered on genome assembly and structural variant characterization. Guilherme has earned a PhD in Genetics and a Master's degree in Genetics, Genomics, and Bioinformatics from Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences from Universidade Federal de Goiás.

NBIS is a distributed national bioinformatics infrastructure, supporting life sciences in Sweden. NBIS will enable world-class life science by providing expert knowledge, creative data integration, advanced training, efficient data publication and access to high-performance data and analysis methods. NBIS will continue coordinating bioinformatics support within Sweden and make bioinformatics easily accessible for life science researchers.
