Stefan Ebmeyer

Stefan Ebmeyer, PhD, currently serves as a Bioinformatics Specialist at NBIS – National Bioinformatics Infrastructure Sweden since February 2024. Prior to this role, Stefan worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Sahlgrenska Academy at the University of Gothenburg, where machine learning techniques were applied to study antibiotic resistance evolution in pathogens, and bioinformatics software for bacterial growth curve analysis was developed. Stefan's extensive experience includes positions as a Bioinformatics Researcher and a Doctoral Student at the University of Gothenburg, where programming skills in Python and R were utilized for genomic data analysis related to antibiotic resistance. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Bioinformatics and a Master’s degree in Molecular and Systems Biology from the University of Gothenburg, along with a Bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of Konstanz.
