Irene Duba

Irene Duba is a Bioinformatics Specialist at The Rockefeller University, where responsibilities include creating bioinformatics pipelines and managing computational environments for genomic assays. As a PhD candidate, Irene performed genomic assays and contributed to multiple projects. Prior experience includes serving as a Research Fellow at Siemens Healthineers, optimizing CT scanning techniques, and conducting clinical research. As a Senior Honors Thesis Researcher at Oregon Health and Science University, Irene focused on biophysics research, utilizing fluorescence microscopy and numerical modeling. Additional roles include tutoring physics at Lewis & Clark College, participating in medical physics research at UCSF, and engaging with underrepresented youth in scientific education. Irene holds a Bachelor of Arts in Physics from Lewis & Clark College and is currently pursuing a PhD in Biology at The Rockefeller University.
