Wayne Thomas

Wayne Thomas is an experienced professional in telecommunications and operational technology, currently serving as the Manager of National Technical Field Services at nbn™ Australia since February 2015, previously holding roles as Manager of Operational Business Initiatives and National Technical Specialist. Prior to nbn™, Wayne worked at Ausgrid from September 2007 to April 2014, where responsibilities included managing Operations for Operational Technology, ensuring the delivery of SCADA services and leading technical teams through significant changes. Earlier in career at Ausgrid, Wayne served as Telco Infrastructure Manager, establishing a secure telecommunications network for EnergyAustralia. Wayne also held the position of Head of Technology at AAPT and progressed through various roles at Telstra from Assistant Technician to Operations Manager. Education includes an Electronics Engineering Certificate in Telecommunications Technology from North Sydney TAFE and studies at Phillip College in Canberra.
