Jose Manuel Calderón

Special Assistant to the Executive Director at NBPA

Jose Manuel Calderón is a professional basketball player who has played for several teams in the NBA, including the Detroit Pistons, Cleveland Cavaliers, Atlanta Hawks, Los Angeles Lakers, and Dallas Mavericks. Jose is currently a special assistant to the executive director at the National Basketball Players Association (NBPA).

Calderón began their career with the New York Knicks in 2013 and played for them for two seasons before being traded to the Mavericks in 2014. Jose spent one season with the Mavericks before signing with the Lakers in 2015. Jose played for the Lakers for one season before being traded to the Hawks in 2016. Jose was then traded to the Cavaliers in 2017 and played for them for one season.

In 2018, Calderón signed with the Pistons and played for them for one season. Jose then returned to the NBPA, where they have served as a special assistant to the executive director since September 2019.
