David M. Cook is an experienced video production professional currently serving as a Film Critic for the North Carolina Film Critic Association at Cookie Movies since May 2023. Since November 2021, David has held the position of Director of Video Production at the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina. As the Founder and Director of Ascending Productions, LLC since February 2009, David specializes in professional video production, broadcast design, graphic design, and event production. Previous roles include Film Director at Amazing Studios (2017-2022), Director at Rival Health (2012-2017), Lead Videographer and Editor at Capstone Production Group (2006-2009), and Director of Video & Television Production at Gloucester County Community Church (2001-2006). David’s early career included a position as Director of Video Production at Technet International (2000-2001). David earned a B.A. in Communication Arts/Video Production from Cedarville University in 2000.
