Manju Kunwar

Manju Kunwar, MBBS, MPH, currently serves as a Public Health Program Coordinator at the NC Department of Health and Human Services since March 2020. Previously, Manju held the position of Health Services & Safety Manager at NEED INC.'s Head Start program from July 2017 to March 2020, and worked as a Social/Clinical Research Assistant at UNC Health Care from August 2015 to July 2017, focusing on HIV care data management. Manju's early experience includes a summer internship at UNICEF Country Office Nepal, where efforts centered on nutrition surveillance and management information systems, and a research assistant role at the Department of Epidemiology at UNC-Chapel Hill, emphasizing vaccination data collection. Manju also served as a Medical Officer at Paropakar Maternity and Women's Hospital and gained foundational experience as a Medical Intern at Shree Birendra Military Hospital. Educational qualifications include a Master’s Degree in Maternal and Child Health from the Gillings School of Global Public Health and a Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine and Surgery from Xinxiang Medical College.
