Jacob Sargent

Jacob Sargent is a Fiscal Analyst at the North Carolina General Assembly, focusing on budget development and policy analysis within the General Government team of the Fiscal Research Division. Responsibilities include collaborating with Legislators to draft legislation, analyzing fiscal impacts, and ensuring compliance with legislative intent. Previously, Jacob taught AP Government, Economics, and Psychology at IDEA Public Schools and co-founded Bet On It, LLC, developing web technologies for charitable initiatives. Additional experience includes an internship with Chick-fil-A, automating processes through Python, and serving as a Campus Campaign Coordinator for Teach For America. Jacob has a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Clemson University and has pursued studies in Computer Science and History and Politics at various universities.
