Joshua Yost

Joshua Yost currently serves as Senate General Counsel for the North Carolina General Assembly, a position held since January 2021. Prior to this role, Joshua worked as an attorney at Brooks, Pierce, McLendon, Humphrey & Leonard, LLP from September 2017 to December 2020, and as a law clerk for the Federal Courts from September 2016 to September 2017. Joshua's academic background includes a Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree from the University of North Carolina School of Law (2013-2016) and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in History from Davidson College (2008-2012). Additional experience includes serving as a research assistant and multiple summer associate roles, primarily at Brooks, Pierce, McLendon, Humphrey & Leonard, LLP.
