Margaret Young

Margaret Young is a Fiscal Analyst I at the North Carolina General Assembly since June 2023, providing non-partisan fiscal analysis to aid in budgeting and policy-making decisions. Previously, Margaret served as a GA Writing Tutor at Duke University's Sanford School of Public Policy and worked as a Federal Loan and Grant Specialist at Boundary Stone Partners, assisting clients with federal grant and loan processes. Additional experience includes a Consultant Internship at Booz Allen Hamilton, Policy Development Coordinator at the Arkansas Department of Energy & Environment, and an AmeriCorps VISTA role at the Arkansas Public Policy Panel. Margaret also has experience as a Weekend Educator at the Museum of Discovery and was a Student Coordinator at Hendrix College. Educational qualifications include a Master of Public Policy with a focus on Energy & Environment from Duke University and dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Biology and Environmental Studies from Hendrix College.
