NC REALTORS® is a non-profit trade association founded in 1921 and incorporated on Sept. 14, 1935. From an initial membership of 135, NC REALTORS® today has a membership of more than 55,000 real estate professionals representing 45 local associations statewide. NC REALTORS® is one of the largest and oldest state associations in North Carolina. 

For our purposes, the state is divided into 10 regions to assist in the operation of the association. Each region has an elected vice president that is responsible for coordinating activities in his or her area on behalf of the association.

NC REALTORS® is dedicated to providing the opportunities and resources that aid our members. Our mission statement is succinct: "To promote the success of our members and enhance the Quality of Life in North Carolina."​ We further pledge to: preserve and promote the right to own, transfer and use real property; maintain a leadership role in the legislative, political and regulatory process; promote and maintain the highest ethical standards; develop and provide the best education, products and services; promote housing affordability.

The Real Estate Professionals team at NC Association of REALTORS® consists of various members such as real estate brokers, agents, and specialized committees who work collaboratively to promote the success of the members and enhance the quality of life in North Carolina. Their responsibilities include facilitating property ownership and transactions, participating in legislative and political advocacy, upholding ethical standards, providing educational resources, and promoting housing affordability within their regions.

Real Estate Professionals

The Leadership Team at NC Association of REALTORS® oversees strategic decision-making and management of the association's operations. This team is responsible for financial stewardship, legal compliance, advocacy efforts, marketing and communications, coordination among regional vice presidents, and overall leadership to promote the success of members and enhance quality of life in North Carolina.

Leadership Team

The NC Association of REALTORS® Legal and Advocacy Team is responsible for safeguarding and promoting the legal and regulatory interests of its members. They provide expert legal guidance, engage in lobbying and government relations to influence legislation, and advocate for policies that protect property rights and support the real estate industry. The team also fosters strategic partnerships, promotes diversity and inclusion, and mobilizes grassroots efforts to address regional and statewide issues affecting REALTORS® and property owners.

Legal and Advocacy Team

The Communications and Marketing Team at NC Association of REALTORS® is responsible for crafting and executing strategic communication plans to promote the organization and its initiatives. This team ensures that the association's messaging aligns with its mission to support members and enhance quality of life in North Carolina. Key duties include managing digital communications, overseeing creative content development, handling political and external communications, and implementing content marketing strategies to effectively engage and inform the over 55,000 real estate professionals they represent.

Communications and Marketing Team

The Finance and Operations Team at NC Association of REALTORS® is responsible for managing the financial health and operational efficiency of the organization. This includes budget planning, financial reporting, internal controls, and strategic financial planning. Additionally, the team oversees day-to-day operational tasks to ensure smooth functioning of the association and supports the implementation of strategic initiatives aimed at promoting the success of its members.
