Sanford Deshay Chancellor

Sanford DeShay Chancellor currently serves as the Chief Operating and Human Resources Officer for the NC State Board of Elections since May 2023. Previously, Sanford held the position of Human Resources Director at the North Carolina Bipartisan Board of Elections and Ethics Enforcement from August 2017 to November 2023, overseeing all aspects of Human Resources for the agency. Additional experience includes roles as an Auditor at the North Carolina State Board of Elections, a Federal Financial Management Consultant at IBM, and various positions at Robert Half International, Bank of America, and K. Hovnanian Homes. Sanford holds an MBA in Accounting from Liberty University and a Bachelor of Science in Business/Human Resources from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
