Matt Parkinson

Matt Parkinson has a diverse work experience including roles in cybersecurity and management. From 2016 to the present, they have worked at NCC Group, starting as a Cyber Security Monitoring Analyst and then progressing to become a Senior Cyber Security Analyst. In September 2018, Matt took on the position of SIEM Consultant, where they led the design and implementation of a new customer managed SIEM service. Matt then moved on to become a Technical Delivery Team Manager and is currently serving as the Head of MDR Technical Delivery. Prior to their cybersecurity career, Matt worked at Nuffield Health as a Front of House Team Leader and Duty Manager from 2008 to 2016.

Matt Parkinson completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Forensics and Security from Leeds Beckett University, where they studied from 2013 to 2016. Prior to that, they attended St Bedes Catholic Grammar School from 1999 to 2006, but no specific degree or field of study is provided for this period. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications including Splunk Enterprise Certified Architect, Splunk Core Certified Power User, Splunk Enterprise Certified Admin, and Security+ from institutions such as Splunk and CompTIA. Matt obtained their certifications between 2017 and 2020.
