Sian John Mbe

Sian John MBE currently serves as Chief Technology Officer at NCC Group and has held the position of Chair of the Cyber Management Committee at techUK since June 2018. As a Council Member of EPSRC since January 2021, Sian brings extensive experience from a notable tenure at Microsoft, where roles included Senior Director of Microsoft Security Business Development, EMEA Director of Cybersecurity Strategy, and Executive Security Advisor. Prior to Microsoft, Sian spent over a decade at Symantec as Chief Strategist for EMEA and engaged in various leadership roles within the cybersecurity sector. Sian's early career includes significant positions at Ubizen/Cybertrust, Reuters, and the Houses of Parliament. Sian holds a Master of Arts in Classical Studies and has earned multiple degrees in Economics and Humanities from institutions such as The Open University and the University of York.
