Julie Parenteau

Julie Parenteau is an experienced professional in communication and recruitment, currently serving as a DEI Recruiter at the North Carolina Department of Transportation since November 2021, where responsibilities include developing strategic recruitment plans for a diverse workforce and utilizing social media in recruitment efforts. Previous roles include Global Village Director at North Carolina State University, where curriculum design for an international living community was a focus, and President of Global Perceptions Communication and Relocation Consulting, providing intercultural services to various organizations. Academic experience includes positions as a Professor at the University of Puerto Rico-Río Piedras, a full-time Lecturer at the University of Michigan, and a Teaching Assistant at Bowling Green State University. Julie holds a Ph.D. and a Master's in Communication Studies from Bowling Green State University and a Bachelor’s in Public Communication from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
