Mario Ishak

Mario Ishak is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in transportation and freeway operations. Currently serving as a Senior Freeway Operations Engineer at NCDOT since March 2023, Mario previously held the position of Senior Transportation Engineer at Infrastructure Construction & Engineering from January 2022 to March 2023. Prior roles include Senior Staff Engineer at Dewberry and Transportation Engineer at SEPI Engineering & Construction Inc. Mario began a career in technical support and engineering with roles at Itron and Elster Solutions, providing critical technical services for Smart Meter Management systems. Earlier experiences also include work in traffic control at the Department of Transportation and network engineering positions at AT&T and Nortel Networks. Mario holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from North Carolina State University, earned in 2004.
