Tamara Njegovan is an experienced civil engineer with a robust background in transportation project development and planning. Currently serving as an Alternative Delivery Project Engineer and previously in multiple roles at NCDOT since April 2018, Tamara has guided regional planning organizations and metropolitan planning organizations through project prioritization processes while analyzing scores to enhance project adoption in the State Transportation Improvement Program. Prior experience includes roles at Volkert, Inc., where Tamara worked on project development and environmental analysis for transportation projects, and CDM Smith, where Tamara prepared environmental documents and assisted in roadway design. Tamara's career at NCDOT began in 2012 as an intern, progressing to a Project Planning Engineer and Transportation Engineering Associate before advancing to senior positions. Tamara holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University.
