Tabatha Brafford started their work experience in 1998 as an Inpatient Therapist at the Mental Health Resource Center. Tabatha then worked as a Child and Family Therapist at Smoky Mountain Center from 2001 to 2003. In 2003, Tabatha joined a Private Practice as an Outpatient Therapist until 2009. From 2009 to 2011, they held various roles at Appalachian Community Services, including Mobile Crisis Manager, Director of Crisis Services, and Director of Consumer Services. Tabatha's most recent role was at ncgCARE, where they worked as Sr. Director of Innovation from 2019 until 2023. Currently, they are working as the Group Vice President of Operations at the same company.
Tabatha Brafford earned their Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree in Psychology from the University of North Florida, where they studied from 1992 to 1998. Tabatha has also obtained several additional certifications throughout their career. In 2002, Tabatha became a Licensed Professional Counselor (NCLPC). In 2013, they obtained the certification of Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor from the Licensed Professional Counselors Association of North Carolina (LPCANC). Additionally, in 2014, they became a Licensed Clinical Addition Specialist (LCAS) through the NC Board of Substance Abuse Professional Board. Most recently, in 2017, Tabatha earned the certification of Certified Clinical Supervisor (CCS) from NCSAPPB.
