Dave Wenhold is the current Executive Director at NCRA. Dave has also held the position of Director of Government Relations and Public Policy at NCRA, where they were responsible for developing and delivering successful legislative strategy and public policy for the 27,000-member professional association. Dave also designed and implemented a federal appropriations initiative that resulted in over $14 million in earmarked appropriations to court reporter training programs throughout the United States.
Wenhold has also been responsible for representing the organization in communications and interactions between all branches of government, and specifically addressing court reporter issues before several federal agencies, including the Office of Management and Budget, Bureau of Labor Statistics and the United States Administrative Office of the Courts. Dave has achieved positive results for the profession before these agencies that have benefited the members.
In addition, Wenhold has efficiently managed relationships with 45 state-affiliated professional associations and provided legislative training, strategic and tactical political advice, and educational seminars. Dave has also been responsible for directing and developing NCRA’s Government Relations Department and expanding NCRA-PAC’s influence. Dave developed three leadership seminars, including a fly-in legislative training session, which resulted in a 400% increase in attendance. These programs have trained thousands of grassroots advocates and have become signature events for the association.
Dave Wenhold graduated from Keene State College with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and Government.
