NCSM: Leadership in Mathematics Education
Katey Arrington, Ph.D., currently serves as the Director of Systemic Transformation at the Charles A. Dana Center since January 2024. In addition, Katey has been actively involved with the NCSM Leadership in Mathematics Education since April 2019, holding positions as President, President Elect, and Regional Director for Southern 2. Previously, Katey worked at The University of Texas at Austin from January 2011 to January 2024, where roles included Associate Director of the UTeach Institute and Manager of K12 System Services at the Charles A. Dana Center, focusing on K-12 mathematics and science education. Early career experience includes serving as the Coordinator of Mathematics at Pflugerville ISD from 2006 to 2011. Katey holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and a Doctor of Philosophy in Education Policy and Planning, both from The University of Texas at Austin.
