Michael King

Michael King is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in both development and music education. Currently serving as the Director of Development for the College of Arts & Sciences at NDSU Foundation since March 2021, Michael focuses on securing significant leadership and major gifts through strategic planning and prospect management. Previously, as Director of Development for the College of Science & Mathematics at NDSU, Michael implemented strategies to enhance fundraising efforts. Michael's background in music education includes roles such as Assistant Director of Bands and Director of Athletic Bands at Bowling Green State University, and various directorial positions at Flower Mound High School and Leonard Middle School. Michael holds a Doctor of Musical Arts from the University of South Carolina, a Master of Music from Central Michigan University, and a Bachelor's degree in Music Teacher Education from Michigan State University.
