Angelica Castañon is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in public policy and education. Currently serving as a Senior Program Specialist at NEA since January 2013, Castañon focuses on enhancing child and adolescent outcomes by addressing barriers to learning, with a strong emphasis on school nutrition, instructional support, classroom environment, and outdoor safety. Prior experience includes a tenure as a Commissioner for Advisory Neighborhood Commission 1A, where Castañon represented over 2,000 constituents on various public policy issues.
