Katherine Lamm is a former Acting Deputy Chief of the Appellate Section in the Civil Rights Division of the U.S. Department of Justice, where they served as an attorney from 2018 to 2025. Prior to that, Katherine worked as Senior Litigation Counsel at Sanford Heisler, LLP and as a Law Clerk for the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee. Katherine graduated from Brown University with a degree in History and International Relations and earned their J.D. from Harvard Law School. Currently, they are part of the Office of General Counsel at the National Education Association.
