Albert Caubet

Co-Founder & Chief Engineer at Near Space Labs

Albert Caubet is a Co-Founder & Chief Engineer at Near Space Labs. Albert has over 4 years of experience in the field of remote sensing and has been involved in building and operating high altitude platforms. Prior to joining Near Space Labs, they worked as an AOCS Engineer at OHB SE for 1 year 7 months. Albert has also worked as a Marie Curie Researcher, PhD candidate at University of Strathclyde for 3 years 5 months where they worked on polynomial motion planning techniques applied to spacecraft attitude manoeuves and close proximity flight. Albert has also worked as an engineer at Centre National d'Études Spatiales for 1 year 2 months where they were involved in the study of the resonances caused by the tesseral terms of the Earth gravity field on GTO and the implementation of the tesseral model in the STELA tool (semi-analytic propagator for space debris). Albert has also done internships at Centre National d'Études Spatiales and THALES ALENIA SPACE.

Albert Caubet has a PhD from the University of Strathclyde and a Master of Science from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya. Theirfields of study are GNC/Aerospace and Aerospace Engineering respectively. Albert was a part of the ELDAR research group during their time at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya and also participated in the Space Station Design Workshop at the University of Stuttgart.
