David Finn

David Finn began their work experience in 2015 as a Research Assistant at Monash University. In 2016, they joined the Australian Government Department of Human Services, where they worked as a Cyber Security Analyst and participated in their Graduate Program. In 2017, they transitioned to the Department of Defence as a Software Developer until 2020. From 2020 to 2022, Finn worked at Splunk as a Security Solutions Engineer. Currently, they hold the position of Senior Software Engineer at Neara.

David Finn completed their Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) in Mechatronics from the University of Melbourne from 2011 to 2014. Prior to that, they obtained their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Electrical Systems from the same university from 2008 to 2011.

In addition to their formal education, David has earned several certifications. David obtained the Certified Kubernetes Administrator certification from the CNCF (Cloud Native Computing Foundation) in August 2021. In August 2016, they received the GSEC certification from GIAC Certifications. David is also certified as a GIAC Certified Penetration Tester (GPEN) and has obtained the GIAC Continuous Monitoring Certification (GMON), although the specific dates of their completion for these certifications are not provided.
