Richard Jones has a diverse work experience in the engineering and transportation sector. Richard began their career as an Area Technician at Gwynedd County Council in 1989. Richard then worked at Newport City Council as an Assistant Engineer and later as a Best Value Officer from 1997 to 2000. From 2000 to 2005, they worked at Atkins as a Highways Team Manager and then as an Operations/Network Manager. In 2005, they joined Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council as the Head of South Wales Trunk Road Agent, where they played a key role in establishing the new organization and managing the motorways and trunk roads in South Wales.
