Lizzie Turner is an experienced community organizer with a diverse background in advocacy, events management, and education. Currently serving as a Community Organizer at Nebraska Appleseed since October 2021, Lizzie previously held the position of Organizing & Advocacy Director at Chicago Area Peace Action, where responsibilities included recruiting and mobilizing campaign leaders, managing communications for a 1,000-subscriber base, and leading successful grassroots campaigns. Additional roles span various organizations, including community engagement, events management, and education, demonstrating a strong ability to coordinate large-scale events, develop effective advocacy strategies, and foster community connections. Lizzie holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre Design and Production from Illinois State University.
