Megan Hamann is an experienced Economic Justice Community Organizer at Nebraska Appleseed since September 2020, focusing on community empowerment and advocacy. Prior experience includes serving as Staff Assistant at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Honors Program, where event coordination was a key responsibility, and as Project Director with Amigos de las Americas, where Megan led an 8-week cross-cultural immersion program, mentored staff and youth volunteers, and managed a $56,000 budget. Earlier roles include Assistant Project Director with AMIGOS, Residential Advisor at Occidental College, and an Organizing Intern with Strategic Concepts in Organizing and Policy Education. Megan holds a Bachelor's degree in International/Global Studies from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and attended Occidental College.
