Military and Defense Operations

The Military and Defense Operations team at the Nebraska National Guard is responsible for executing both state and federal missions. This diverse team includes roles such as helicopter pilots, electronic warfare specialists, and unit movement officers, to ensure rapid and effective response in emergency situations and national defense. They coordinate and perform operations to protect life, property, and maintain public safety within Nebraska when activated by the governor, and support U.S. combatant commanders in national emergencies or wartime scenarios when called upon by the president.
