Alan Shirk

Alan Shirk is an experienced professional with a strong background in construction management and technical trade assistance. Currently serving as a Sergeant in the Nebraska National Guard since June 2023, Alan previously held the position of Technical Trade Assistant at Metropolitan Community College since October 2018. With a military background that includes serving as a 92F Petroleum Supply Specialist in the US Army Reserves from January 2012 to April 2023, Alan also gained experience as a Construction Manager at EAD: Engineering, Controls, and Construction Management from December 2016 to June 2018. Additional experience includes inventory management at Best Buy and roles in estimating and internships in various companies. Alan holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Construction Management from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and two Associate's degrees in Civil Engineering Technology and Mechanical Drafting from Metropolitan Community College.
