Joshua Watson

Joshua Watson, PE, is an experienced electrical engineer currently serving as an Engineer IV at Nebraska Public Power District since January 2022. Previously, Joshua held the position of Senior Engineer at Burns & McDonnell from August 2014 to February 2022 and worked as an Engineer in System Protection at Nebraska Public Power District from July 2007 to August 2014, focusing on protection system design for voltages ranging from 34.5kV to 345kV, primarily utilizing SEL relays. Joshua's responsibilities included writing checkout and functional testing procedures and contributing to NERC compliance. Joshua holds a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, earned between 2012 and 2017, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, completed in 2007.
