Rick Nelsen

Rick Nelsen, CEcD, has over three decades of experience in economic development, currently serving as a Senior Economic Development Consultant at Nebraska Public Power District since September 1996. In this role, Rick Nelsen is responsible for marketing NPPD’s service territory to potential businesses through various channels, assisting existing businesses with expansions, and consulting with communities on local economic development programs. Previously, Rick Nelsen held the position of Deputy Director of Business Recruitment at the Nebraska Department of Economic Development and served as Vice President for Research at the Lincoln Chamber of Commerce. Rick Nelsen earned a B.S. in Political Science and Business Administration from Nebraska Wesleyan University, graduating in 1982.
