Julian Schweizer is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in machine learning and computer vision. Currently serving as VP of Technology and Principal Machine Learner at Nect GmbH since August 2018, Julian leads a team in the design and implementation of microservices for automated identity verification, while also ensuring compliance with German Trust Service law. As Data Privacy Officer, Julian established GDPR compliance protocols, validated by TüV Saarland. Prior experience includes roles as a Data Scientist at Hermes Germany GmbH and a Research Associate at DESY, where Julian conducted advanced scientific research and presented complex topics to the public. Julian holds a Dr. rer. nat. in Physics from the University of Hamburg and a Diplom-Physiker in Theoretical Physics from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology.
