Michael Mansour

Michael Mansour is a physician-scientist who started his research career in the biotech sector and graduated with MD/PhD dual degrees from Boston University School of Medicine with a research concentration in immune responses against invading pathogens. He completed his medical residency at the Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) in Boston, MA where he also served as a Chief resident, before completing the Harvard combined Infectious Diseases training program at MGH and the Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Dr. Mansour joined the MGH ID faculty in 2014, and now attends on the clinical Transplant Infectious Diseases and Immunocompromised Host Service, where he cares for solid and stem cell transplant recipients and those individuals with weakened immunity. Dr. Mansour is an investigator overseeing a RO1-funded laboratory with a focus on innate immune responses to infectious pathogens. He also directs several COVID-19 clinical trials testing novel treatments for coronavirus. In addition, he sits on several committees for the development of treatment guidelines for patients with COVID-19 infection.
