Willem Melder

Willem Melder is an experienced data engineer currently working at the Netherlands Institute for Sound and Vision since November 2008, with a strong background in Artificial Intelligence and Speech Technology. Prior roles include software engineer at TNO Human Factors from 2005 to December 2008, project leader at Voice Data Bridge for a year in 2004-2005, and co-founder and consultant at Vocalibur Language & Speech Technology from 2001 to 2004. Additionally, Willem served as a speech technology expert at Comsys from 1999 to 2001 and was a master student at Universiteit Utrecht, where a Master’s degree in Cognitive Artificial Intelligence was obtained. Early career experiences also include a role at Muziekcentrum Vredenburg during academic years. Education was completed at Dr. F.H. de Bruyne Lyceum from 1980 to 1987.
